Our Thanksgiving this year wasn't anything to fancy! I worked from 7am-3:30pm so Nate and Braxton were able to spend the morning together. After I got off work we headed to Aunt Lori's house to have dinner with Nate's family. After some chatting and yummy eating we headed to a movie with my family. We saw the Muppet Movie. I'm not sure if it was the late hour that we saw it at but I wasn't to thrilled with it. I found out after the movie that no one was super impressed with it. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.
Even though we didn't do to much and only got to spend half the day together it turned out to be a nice Thanksgiving filled with family, food and relaxing. We have the best family and are so grateful for them and all that they do for us.
I went out shopping for a little bit on Friday. I had good intentions of getting a head start knowing that I wouldn't get back to shopping until after finals the middle of December, the only problem is that I didn't know what to get anyone except for Brax. I ended up getting most of Brax done as well as a couple of other things but the rest is going to have to wait until after finals! Christmas really snuck up on us this year with school ending so late into December. It sure was nice to have a couple weeks off though! We sent out Christmas Cards - barley in time! Our card pictures....
And the winner is..... |
Braxton's "Jinch hands" He loved to wear them - especially while watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas (with Jim Carey)!

We joined up with Derek and the Lambert's at Fashion Place Mall in an attempt to get a picture of our little guys with Santa. After waiting in line nearly 20 minutes (and still having about another 20 minutes to go) we found out that they were not allowing people to take their own pictures. We decided that the price of their packages wasn't worth the rest of the wait especially with two 22 month old boys who were restless, hungry and didn't really care about the jolly man in the big white beard! We stopped by Hot dog on a stick and got dinner then headed over to the quarter ride area. As sad as I was we didn't get a picture with Santa this year I know the boys had a much better time playing on the cars than they would have waiting in line and sitting on some strangers lap!

We spent Christmas Eve doing the traditional dinner and PJ's at Grandma Carolyn's. Braxton wasn't really into the whole present thing at the time so he was totally fine watching Toy Story 3 on Uncle Nicholas' phone and admiring the pictures on Grandma Carolyn's DVD copy of it!
He was willing to look away for a minute or two to open his present and take a peek inside!
Our Christmas PJ's! Braxton's had two of his most FAVORITE things....
Mickey Mouse AND Football!!!!

Because Christmas was on a Sunday this year we only had Sacrament meeting; and since our ward starts at 1:00 the 9:00 ward let us join their Sacrament meeting! Being able to go to church Christmas morning was AWESOME! I wish we could do it every year. One nice thing was being able to go first thing in the morning and partake of the wonderful spirit that was in the meeting and then come home do the present thing and spend the rest of the day with family. Lucky for us Brax had no idea what the present/Santa thing was so we were able to "sleep in" and do them after church instead of before.

Nate and I didn't do gifts for each other this year in our effort to get out of debt. Luckily we both actually stuck to our agreement this year! |
Braxton made off pretty well this year with lots of fun toys, learning things and clothes. |
After hanging out at Nate's parents for a little while we headed over to spend some time with my family.
Our family - Braxton, Nate, Kristin, baby #2 (19 weeks)

Thank you Grandma Donna and Grandpa Jeff
