What a special day

Sunday, May 2nd is now a special day in Braxton's life. It is a day he will probably never remember but it is one that I definitely will! It's so special because that is the day he was given a name and a beautiful blessing by his wonderful dad! After the blessing, when Nate came and sat back down, he looked at me and said, I don't remember one thing I said and that he had to concentrate on not choking up. I turned to him and told him he did a great job and that it was okay that he didn't get choked up and that Braxton didn't cry because I cried enough tears for all three of us! They were 100% tears of joy though. Braxton was such an angel that whole day! We were really worried that he would start crying as soon as they got to the circle...but he didn't! We were so relieved. Even while trying to get stuff ready before and then trying to feed and entertain all the family and friends we had over after he was such a good little guy!

Nate and I lucked out for sure with our little man. He is such a good baby. He is a joy to have in our home and brings such a sweet spirit to it! We love him so much! It's amazing how our love for him only grows more and more everyday and even after we think we already love him as much as possible we still find a way to love him more.

We are so grateful to all of the wonderful family and friends who came to support Braxton on his special day! Between the blessing and the brunch we had after there were about 81 people there to support him! It was so neat to see all those people who love us and Braxton enough to come and spend part of their day with us for him. Words cannot even describe how appreciative I am for everyone coming! Also, thanks to everyone for their patience at our home after. Our house is a pretty good size starter home but definitely not big enough for 81 people. We decided on Friday to get a gazebo for our back yard in order to try and fit everyone better. We were planning on putting a heater under it to keep everyone out there warm since it was supposed to be a high of about 57 that day! Poor Nate spent so much time on Saturday getting the gazebo put up and getting the yard ready only for us to wake up to about an inch and a half of snow Sunday morning. Needless to say, everyone stayed inside! We ended up with people in our unfinished basement at tables we set up, also upstairs in our office and spare bedroom! It was a little snug but our home was so full of love from everyone and their support! Despite the slight weather problem it turned out to be a very special, wonderful day!

Braxton had a little friend born only one day before he was! We were so sad that we couldn't go to his blessing because it ended up being the same day as Braxton's. We were so glad that him and his mom and dad decided to stop by later that night. Things have been so crazy lately that we haven't even had a chance to meet little Huston unitl then! He is such a cute little boy!
Can you believe Huston is only one day older than Braxton?!?!?!
