5 Weeks Old.....

It's so hard to believe that our little guy joined our family 5 weeks ago yesterday! I knew that time would go fast but this is CRAZY!! He is still sleeping quite a bit but it seems he is spending more and more time awake as the days go by. He is really good at rolling from his side to his back but then he can't get back to his side! It's so fun to talk to him because he looks for our voice and his eyes follow things that we move back and forth. He is really good at making faces and rolling his eyes! I call him my little piglet - by about 3 weeks he was eating 5 ounces at most feedings and he is a good grunter!

We lucked out with a pretty good, happy baby. For the most part he only cries when he needs something - diaper change, some food, or get a bubble out of his tummy! He is starting to figure out that he likes to be held and if he cries he'll get it!

As far as night time goes, he has good nights and bad nights but luckily for us there are more of the good than the bad! He usually gets up between 1 and 2 and again between 4 and 6 for a diaper change and a feeding. He usually gets up a couple of times in between those times because he lost his pacifier. He is a little bit of a thumb sucker during the day but for some reason at night he can't find that either!

Braxton has been such a blessing in our home and a joy in our lives! Mommy and Daddy love you little man!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

Nate's sister is getting married this Thursday. With weddings comes a lot of fun things but one of the best is going through the temple! We had the opportunity to go to the temple with her as well as many other family and friends on Saturday. It's so neat to see all of the love and support given by all the people there. She decided to go through the Oquirrh Mountain temple and what a neat experience that was. Since that is the temple we are assigned to go to, Nate and I had the opportunity to help out during the open house. Nate did a middle of the night security watch and we both had the chance to clean one night in preparation for the next day's open house! We feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to participate in the open house and to be able to see every room of the temple and hear about all of the hidden things that make the temple so neat. Since the open house we haven't been back to that temple so it was so neat to be able to do a session there. What a Beautiful temple. Congratulations Natasha! We love you and are so proud of you~

Party Time

Braxton got to go to his First Birthday Party last night! Nate's brother's girlfriend's son (hope you could follow that!) turned ONE this weekend and they decided to do a Mickey Mouse Club House Party at their local fire station where the Girlfriend's dad is a volunteer. I must say that our little guy was the most well behaved party person there! It couldn't be because he slept the entire time.... except for when he decided that he was hungry but once he got some food he was back to sleep!

Braxton got to see all of his Grandmas on Nate's side and really enjoyed snuggling with all of them. Oh but don't worry, he's not spoiled one bit!



Braxton's cousin Brynnlee loves him to DEATH, a little to literally sometimes. Notice all the people watching her to make sure she is "soft with the baby"

Takes My Breath Away

Two years ago today I married my best friend and the love of my life! I can't believe how fast it has gone. We've been through a lot the last two years and I can honestly say that there isn't anyone else I would rather have at my side to go through life with. He has a big shoulder to lean on. Warm, rough, hard working hands to hold. Strong arms to hug and a giant heart to love! I have seen his heart grow with more love than I thought possible with the birth of our precious baby boy! I have never seen a man more proud than when he got to hold his son for the first time. He is an amazing husband and father. We love you~
